This is a message from your Commodores Gary and Patti Shipman from the big city wishing we were up on the lake. We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and memorable New Year celebration.

The Spring cruise will be at White Birch Lodge in Sioux Narrows, ON May 31, 2003. If you need to make room reservations call (Winter numbers) 1-888-776-1057 or 651/777-1057, as always the sooner the better and tell them you are with the Escape. The cost is $105 Canadian/$80 US per cabin and the cabins sleep 4-6 people. White Birch Lodge is on highway 71 so you can get there by car. Any of us that are lucky enough to get our boats out of storage and boat to the lodge there will be docking available at no cost. There is electricity on the dock and if you do hookup they ask that you give a small token of gratitude ($5 Canadian/$3.50 US).

The Commodore Cocktail hour will be from 6pm-7pm in the main lodge lounge. Dinner will be at 7pm. We will be ordering off the menu so the cost will range from $5 Canadian/$3.50 US for a hamburger – up to $22 Can/$14.50 US for a walleye dinner (tax included, however TIP IS NOT) and many more selections in between. After dinner, Rolf and Marla (Vice Commodores) will have an activity that will make this Spring Event a memorable one.

When you wake up the next morning you can have your choice of breakfast which will cost $5 Can/$3.50 US for anything, everything and as much as you can eat (Tax included, however TIP IS NOT).

The Fall Escape was a beautiful thing,
The Winter Escape is sure to have a cold sting.
If it happens we have no snow,
We can all look forward to the White Birch Spring show.
There will be water there without a doubt,
However, it is so early some will be without a boat.
But, when the Summer Cruise comes in the month of July,
There will be water, warmth, sun, refreshments and friends,
To celebrate another year of Escape events that has gone by.

Summer Escape dates are July 10-13 (Nestor Falls to Oak Island). More information to be sent in the next mailing. Looking forward to seeing all of you soon (over the port, starboard, bow or stern).
