ESCAPE FALL CRUISE 2001

Hello, we are Nora and Doug Biggar, Commodores for the 2001-2002 Escape season. We would be honored if you would join us on this years “Fall Escape Cruise” to be held at Big Narrows Lodge, September 1st, 2001

Come experience the beauty of the Big Narrows region on beautiful Lake of the Woods. Big Narrows Lodge is located 20 miles southwest of Kenora in the heart of the Canadian Wilderness and is accessible only by float plane or boat. The splendor and excitement of nature is at it’s finest at the narrows.

For those of you who require accommodations, Big Narrows offers modern comfortable cabins. All have a private bath with shower. Each cabin also boasts a spectacular view of the lake. Rooms will be limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment. Rooms are $125.00 Canadian per couple.

The main lodge provides a homey atmosphere. Whether playing a game of cards or just sitting in front of the fireplace, the lodge is the place to be. In addition to a full service bar, the lodge has a TV and satellite dish. There is a sauna and hot tub facility uniquely located over the lake. We are invited to take advantage of these facilities to make our stay at Big Narrows a relaxing one. There is also plenty of good docking available.

Please plan to arrive mid afternoon Saturday. This will allow you time to socialize with others before dinner at 7.00pm. The evening theme will be the “Roaring 20’s”. We are hoping to make enough room in the Lodge to permit some after dinner dancing and socializing.

There is a large natural white sand beach, and weather permitting and there is enough interest, we hope to end the evening there with a big bonfire.

Fred and Claudette (our hosts) will be offering two choices for dinner Saturday night.
1) A BBQ’d bacon wrapped filet. ( We have had this specialty of the house, and highly recommend it.) 25.00 CDN
2) Chicken Kiev 20.00 CDN All applicable taxes are extra.
Please call and let them know which meals you will be ordering.

Breakfast will be available Sunday morning in the main Lodge. It will be served from 8am to 9am at the cost of 6.95 CDN. Breakfast will consist of a couple of different options that you may choose from.

For those wanting to arrive a day early or remain for an extra day at the Lodge you are more than welcome too. Please let Fred know when you arrive that you are wishing to extend your stay.
